How to put a video onto your blog?

If there is a youtube video that you want to post to your blog, here's what you need to do.
  1. Open the youtube page with the video, copy the address from the address bar of your internet browser into the clipboard
  2. Open your blog page on the cwf and start writing a new post
  3. Click on the YouTube button youtube button in the editor
  4. Paste the address of the video into the URL field and click OK
  5. The contents of the video will not show up in the editor field, but once you save the post it will appear
If you have the video stored on your computer, you need to upload it to youtube first.
  1. Login to youtube with your Google or youtube account (create one if you don't have it yet, it's free)
  2. Click on the Upload button in the upper right corner
  3. Click on the Upload video button in the middle of the screen and select your video
  4. Wait for the video to upload, when finished open the video page and continue with the steps listed above

Welcome Katie Kelly

Katie Kelly, a Marquette University Alumni, signed with Kristiandstad DFF in Swedish Top Division, Damallsvenskan earlier this week. She is the first ever Marquette University player to play professionally in the highest league in Sweden.

-Damallsvenskan is regarded as one of the top leagues in the world. 

-KDFF won their first game 3-2

-KDFF has good experience with American players. Both Kia McNeil and Brett Marone played for KDFF in the past.

Germany Update 

In the only make-up game of the Bundesliga, SC Freiburg suffered  a 0-1 road loss at VfL Wolfsburg. The goal was scored by German International Martina Müller in the 77th minute. Freiburg started with Mele French and Kelly Parker - latter one started with a minor injury and was substituted after 65 mins. Michelle Wenino entered the game in the final minutes.

In 2. Bundesliga TSV Crailsheim raced to another win over TuS Wörrstadt. After a 1-0 half time score they raced away to a clear 5-0 win. Allison Scurich had another good game as defence organizer, while Jeannette Dyer did not play due to recurring problems after a tonsil surgery.

Next league action in Germany will be on Wednesday with re-scheduled games like 1.FFC Frankfurt vs SC Freiburg, VfL Wolfsburg vs Tennis Borussia Berlin and Hamburger SV vs. SG Essen-Schönebeck

WPS Update

Atlanta Beat vs. St. Louis Athletica

One week away from the season opener Atlanta Beat claimed a 2-1 victory against Atletica after goals scored by Kia McNeil and Ramona Bachmann. Kia played the full 90 while Johanna Rasmussen was subbed out in the 60th minute.

Chicago Red Stars vs. Univ. of Illinois

In their last exhibition game the Red Stars showed impressive offensive ability by scoring 9 goals in their 9-0 win. The team was lead by Kosovare Asllani who scored 4 goals and Julianne Sitch who scored 2.

Washington Freedom vs. UNC

Erin McLeod had another clean sheet as the Freedom beat last years College Cup champions University of North Caroline by 5 goals to 0. Here the result wasn´t the most important but more the cause of the game as both teams gathered to fight breast cancer for one of CWF partners, KICKS AGAINST BREAST CANCER.

Essen drops in Cup semifinals

 

No cup glory for SG Essen-Schönebeck this year. The team with defender Emily Zurrer lost its semifinal at FF USV Jena 0-3. A double strike just before halftime knocked Essen out. The last goal just happened minutes before the end. Already before FCR Duisburg defeated 1.FFC Turbine Potsdam 1-0. The final will be played on May 15 in Cologne.

Dyer scores winner against Cologne

 

In a sweet revenge for the 0-6 road loss in fall, TSV Crailsheim fought back against #2 placed 1.FC Köln to clinch a 3-1 home win. While Allison Scurich served as defence organizer for the full 90 minutes, Jeannette Dyer entered the game with a few minutes played in the second half after she returned from a tonsil surgery. Crailsheim scored an early lead in the game but Cologne equalized short after half time. With twenty minutes left on the clock Jeannette Dyer scored the eventual game winner on a penalty kick, the last goal happened as insurance in stoppage time.

 

With this win Crailsheim climbed to rank 3 over night. The Easter weekend continues with several makeup games on Saturday and the next matchday on Monday.
