Well its been a crazy week since I last updated my blog...
Last weeks Enskede game = POOR...we did not play good at all and ended up losing the match 2-1 :(. After a long bus ride back to Borlange, everyone had time to reflect on our performance and we started preparing for the next game against Vasteras BK 30.
Yesterday's game against BK30 = MYCKET BRA (very good). We looked solid throughout the entire match, and even better, Chelsea got her first start of the season and also her first goal in less than 25 min :). Tina, one of our center mids, secured the victory with a goal in the 2nd half to make the final score 2-0.
This week coming up is going to be TOUGH...on Wednesday we play Djugarden at home in the Swedish Cup, and Sunday we travel up to the arctic circle to play Pitea...well not really in the arctic circle, but pretty close :).
This past Friday was Valborg day in Sweden...not really sure what the holiday celebrates, but i think it has something to do with the coming of the summer sun, which, by the way, was up at 4:30 this morning...weird. We went to a friend's house for a bbq and played some fun games...the food was good, and its always nice to get out of our small apartment :).
Look out in the coming days for a video...Chelsea and I are trying to figure out how to upload videos onto our computer, so hopefully we'll have those up in a few days. Maybe a bike tour of the city or even a cribs style interpretation of our apartment that will leave even the biggest celebrities drooling.
That's it for now...I'll let you know how we do on Wednesday!!

Good morning everyone!
Well, tomorrow is the big day...its our second game of the season against Enskede IK. We need to come out strong tomorrow and show everyone that we belong at the top of the standings in Div. 1...its time to forget about our mishap last week and work hard as a team to get those 3 points!
Other than our game tomorrow not much is new in Sweden...we had a cup game last Tuesday against Gävle and ended up winning 4-0. We had a very strong second half, possibly the best we've played all season, and that performance secured us our victory. Next up in the cup, we play Djurgården, an Allsvensken team, on May 5th at home!
This Wednesday on our day off, the roommates and I decided to take a trip up to a real Swedish Ikea...it pretty much reminded me of any Ikea in the US, but their cafeterias here are SO good...I had a classic dish of swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes, and they were probably some of the best I've had here so far!
Hopefully I'll be able to catch you up after our game tomorrow, but for now, enjoy some pictures from our trip to Ikea!!
Peace and love

Hejsan!
Well our game against Ragsved didn't go as well as we would have liked. We started off strong, scoring a goal in the first 5 minutes. Darcel received a great ball from one of our center mids, and played a good cross into our attacking center mid, Elin Nyman. The cross was so good that all Elin had to do was tap it in...but she made a great run into the box to put herself in a scoring position :). The rest of the first half was a little rough for us, we weren't connecting our passes like we should have and we were playing like we were a little nervous. Once the second half started we found a more solid rhythm and connected more of our passes through the midfield...we had most of the play until the last 5 minutes when we just started to PANIC! Ragsved had a good chance with 5 minutes left but our keeper, Bengan, made a great save to keep us in the game. Then with 15 seconds left, Ragsved got a counter and were able to slot a cross in to tie the game 1-1...not a pretty way to end our season opener, but we still got a point out of the result which is better than no points.
Yesterday we had off, it was a nice day and my roommates and I rode our bikes up to Kupolen (the big mall they have in Borlange).
Tonight is training, and tomorrow we have another cup game against Gavle...wish us luck!!!
